Senior Middle Officer – Energy Markets

The entity Global Energy Management & Sales (GEMS) leverages 20+ years of expertise in managing a large, diverse energy portfolio.

Within this context, the Finance Power Department supports internal stakeholders by ensuring operational excellence across the trade lifecycle and delivering actionable financial insights for strategic decisions. To reinforce the Middle Office team, we are looking for a Senior Middle Officer who will actively contribute to economic P&L validation, performance reporting, and continuous improvement of tools and processes.

Objectifs de la mission

• Daily/Weekly/Monthly P&L Validation: Follow and validate economic results of trading activities.
• Financial Reporting: Contribute to the preparation of actuals, forecasts (Best Estimate), and budgets.
• Process Optimization: Propose and implement automation and enhancement of Middle Office processes and tools.
• Project Participation: Take an active role in projects tied to finance operations and data reporting.

Profil recherché

Hard Skills:

• Strong analytical and quantitative background.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Power BI.
• Experience with trading systems and financial data flows.
• Fluent in English and French.
• Solid knowledge of energy markets and hedging instruments.
• Bonus: Skills in Python and understanding of Dutch.
